Spring 2024 Half Marathon Training Group

Join our 2024 Spring Half Marathon Training Group to get ready for the Old Port Half Marathon on June 8! In 3 short months this training group will help you reach peak half marathon fitness! Whether you are a seasoned runner or just getting started, there is a level for everyone to reach their half marathon goals. 

On top of proper half marathon training, this program includes more than just running. We will cover proper running form for healthy & efficient running, nutrition for optimal performance, mental strength to push yourself beyond your limits, mobility & strength to run strong, all while being a part of the most incredible and supportive community of local runners. You can also expect to have a lot of fun along the way with bonus challenges, social events, and celebrations!

For just $334, you will get:

  • 12-weeks of training plan including 2x a week coach-led workouts including speed work & long runs!

  • Private Training Group Nutrition Night with Sports Dietitian, Briana Bruinooge, of New England Nutrition & Exercise!

  • Exclusive Sunrise Yoga for Runners led by 3 Bridges yoga instructor & fellow runner, Mary McNamara!

The logistics:

The training program begins on Monday, March 18 taking you all the way through to race day on Saturday, June 8.

WHERE

  • All running sessions will be in the Portsmouth area.

WHEN

  • Tuesday @ 6AM / Wednesday @ 6PM: Speed Work
    You choose which session works best for your schedule!

  • Saturdays @ 8AM: Long Run

Weekday sessions will typically last 45-75 minutes and long runs around 1-3 hours. Timing will vary depending on your individual pace and training level.

Some weeks the schedule will vary. A complete calendar of sessions and events will be provided at the beginning of the program.

Weekly Portsmouth Run Club

We run through Portsmouth, Rye, and Newcastle every Thursday, starting at 6:00pm. Our weekly run group is perfect for all runners, regardless of pace or ability. This group is free and it’s a great way to meet other runners or get some socializing in on your next run!
